Brintnell is a newer Northeast Edmonton neighbourhood located in the greater Pilot Sound district. Though community plans were approved in the early 1980s, development in Brintnell did not begin until the early 2000s. Today, Brintnell is a thriving, family-friendly community known for its quiet atmosphere, walkability, and spacious single-family homes. Thanks to the community’s great location, Brintnell residents also enjoy convenient access to popular amenities, including schools, shops, services and much more.

Did you know? Wilfrid Leigh Brintnell was a Canadian pilot and war veteran. He flew the first multi-engine flight from Winnipeg to Vancouver and served as president of Aircraft Repair Inc. (based out of Edmonton) during WWII. Brintnell was inducted into the Canadian Aviation Hall of Fame in 1975.

Commuting From Brintnell

The area encompasses all real estate situated west of 50th Street, south of 167th Ave, east of Highway 15 and north of 153rd Ave. Brintnell homeowners can easily reach the greater city of Edmonton and the capital region (including St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan and Sherwood Park) along Highway 15 and the nearby north Anthony Henday. Manning Drive also provides streamlined access to the Yellowhead Highway and South Edmonton via Fort Road and Wayne Gretzky Drive.

Brintnell is considered very transit-friendly thanks to its proximity to the Clareview LRT station (five minutes south), offering park-and-ride facilities and two transit centres. There are also several bus routes and stops operating throughout the area.

Did you know? Clareview LRT station is the last stop on the Capital LRT line. The Capital line is currently undergoing expansion, which will include a 4.5 km track extension from Century Park to Ellerslie Road.
