The land comprising Westwood was annexed by the City of Edmonton in 1910, though it remained largely undeveloped until the post-WWII housing boom. By the late 1960s, many of the community’s older single-family homes were replaced with low-maintenance apartment-style condos, thanks to the arrival of nearby NAIT campus.

The average unit consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom and 800 square feet of living space for $150,000. Not only are these multi-family units ideal for students and working professionals, but their affordability makes them a prime choice among Edmonton real estate investors.
