Getting Around From Gariepy
Gariepy is bounded by Lessard Road to the west, Callingwood Road to the north, the Edmonton Country Club to the east and the North Saskatchewan River Valley to the south. Lessard Road is incredibly convenient for commuters due to its direct connection to both the west Anthony Henday and Whitemud Drive. Nearby 170th Street also provides access to the downtown core in less than 30 minutes via adjoining Stony Plain Road.
Though Gariepy remains mostly car-dependent (a car is required to complete most errands), the area is considered bike-friendly thanks to the river valley trail system. Several transit stops and routes also operate throughout the neighbourhood, with accessibility expected to improve with the arrival of the West Valley LRT line.
Did you know? Edmonton’s future Valley LRT line will connect west and south Edmonton. The route will operate from Mill Woods to Webber Greens, with stops in the neighbouring communities of Meadowlark Park, Summerlea and Belmead.
