Branches Fresh Food Experience 

Indulge your taste buds (and your green thumb) at Branches Fresh Food Experience. Located in Sherwood Park’s beloved Greenland Garden Centre, patrons of this ultra-green café can enjoy a variety of artfully crafted (locally sourced) dishes in a beautiful greenhouse setting.

OEB Breakfast Co. 

Featuring two fantastic Edmonton locations, this Canadian chain is a brunch lover’s dream. Stick with OEB Breakfast staples such as the Classic Breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc.) or more adventurous by selecting one of their Canadian-inspired signature items, including Canadian Lobster and Shrimp Crepes or Confit de Canard Poutine.

Rebel Food and Drink 

The staff at Rebel Food and Drink believe the best meals begin with the finest of fresh ingredients and, of course, their brunch menu is no exception. Weekends and holidays, you’ll have your pick of savoury eggs benedict (five different kinds!), hot-off-the-iron waffles, smoothies, scramblers, freshly squeezed orange juice (or mimosa if you prefer) and a whole lot more.

MEAT

Authentic southern BBQ in Old Strathcona. MEAT is a locally owned and operated smokehouse known for its brisket, beer, bourbon and, of course, brunch. From their savoury Beef Brisket Eggs Benedict to their spicy BBQ Chicken Sandwich, visitors can enjoy all things meaty and delicious. Herbivore? No problem! MEAT’S Pumpkin Spice Waffles or Veggie Hash are sure to hit the spot.

Under the High Wheel 

Serving old-world comfort food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Under the High Wheel uses sustainable ingredients from local farms, producers and businesses. For this reason, there’s always something new and exciting on the menu, which changes according to seasonal availability.

New York Bagel Café 

One of Edmonton’s ultimate hidden gems. The New York Bagel Café is located just north of Whyte Ave in Old Strathcona. Specializing in breakfast and lunch only, the café is known for its array of mouthwatering Bagel Platters – with topping choices including everything from beluga caviar and goose breast to standard cream cheese and grilled apples.

DOSC

Short for “Drunken Ox, Sober Cat,” the DOSC is renowned for its succulent steak dinner menu and indulgent brunch items. In addition to a broad selection of artisanally crafted coffees, menu items include Salmon Benny, Truffle Soft Scrammy and Chicken and Cruffles. For those searching for something a little more basic, we recommend DOSC’s Oatmeal Bowl or classic French Toast, served with cinnamon toast gelato and raspberry coulis.

Tiramisu Bistro 

The Tiramisu Bistro puts a modern spin on traditional Italian fare, focusing on fresh ingredients and sustainable wines from small vineyards. Toast Culture

Nothing says “breakfast” like a good ‘ol slice of toast. But not just any toast. Toast Culture offers a delectable deluge of “toast bar” treats such as Pink Pepper and Goat Cheese, Ahi Tuna Poke and Espresso and Chocolate Cream Cheese. Other menu favourites include the Kitchen Breakfast Bowl, Buttermilk Waffles and the ever-tasty Free Run Egg Sandwich.

Central Social Hall 

Central Social Hall has two convenient locations: downtown Edmonton and St. Albert. And, best of all, brunch is available all day, every day through either the regular menu (Monday – Friday) or the specialty weekend brunch menu, exclusively reserved for Saturdays and Sundays (oh, and did we mention the selection of expertly crafted brunch cocktails?).

Café Mosaic 

The self-proclaimed “vegan and vegetarian watering hole,” Café Mosaic is known for its rock music, local art and plant-based fare. Extremely unique in its approach to vegetarian cuisine, menu items include an infusion of both Vietnamese and American dishes, as well as plant-based beer, wine and spirits. The Against All Grain Benny and Cinnamon Apple Pancakes are just a “taste” of their all-day, everyday breakfast menu items.

The Sugar Bowl 

An Edmonton staple, The Sugar Bowl has been serving up flavoursome food in a unique atmosphere since 1943 – where it has evolved from a burger joint (1940s and 50s) to coffee house (60s and 70s) and, finally, into the beloved full-service bistro we know today. Popular dine-in selections include chicken and waffles, fresh cinnamon buns and much more – not to mention a vast range of craft beers and ciders.

Juniper Café and Bistro

A simple menu for those who like to keep things simple. The Juniper Café prepares fresh, seasonal and homemade breakfast items ranging from organic coffee and signature Handheld Bennies to bakery-fresh scones with Lavender Honey Butter. The café also offers an array of additional bakery treats such as Fresh Sour Dough Loaf, Juniper Cookies and cupcakes.

Café Bicyclette

Urban Diner
