Real Estate and Homes For Sale in Lauderdale
Although the City of Edmonton annexed Lauderdale in 1913, residential development did not begin until the late 1950s. However, the neighbourhood grew quickly due to the post-war housing boom, when the demand for single-family homes was at an all-time high. As a result, Lauderdale features many older renovated bungalows, equipped with large lots and an average of three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Though detached homes account for over 50% of all Lauderdale residences, the community houses a significant number of apartment-style condos. Ideal for first-time buyers, downsizers and/or anyone in search of a low-maintenance lifestyle, Lauderdale condos are considered relatively affordable, with prices starting under $100,000.
Townhomes and duplexes can also be found throughout Lauderdale, consisting of everything from brand new construction units to established side-by-side investment opportunities.
