Edmonton Community Spotlight: Summerside in Southeast Edmonton
June 30, 2021 7:00 amSoutheast Edmonton’s premier lakeside community, Summerside, offers the best of both worlds when it comes to life on the water and urban convenience. An all-in-one neighbourhood featuring incredible home styles, fantastic amenities, and unbeatable recreation opportunities, active families will be hard-pressed to find a better place to call home.
Did you know? Summerside takes its name from the beachside city of Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Summerside was designed and developed to exude a nautical/maritime atmosphere, akin to that of an east coast resort community.
Summerside Homes for Sale and Real Estate
First established in the early 2000s, Summerside is a newer Southeast Edmonton neighbourhood still undergoing development. As such, it is an ideal community for any buyer in search of a new construction home equipped with contemporary finishes and features.

Single-family properties are the predominant home style in the area. These include both convenient front-attached homes and laned homes boasting plenty of curb appeal. Detached homes in Summerside feature an average of four bedrooms and four bathrooms, with prices typically beginning in the late 300s. Lavish luxury properties can also be found throughout the area, many of which are situated along the shores of Lake Summerside.
Summerside also houses many high and medium-density home styles, ranging from low-rise apartment-style condos starting in the high 100s to roomy townhomes and duplexes, starting in the mid 300s. Once development in the neighbourhood is complete, the area will consist of roughly 25% medium and high-density homes and 75% single-family properties.
