First established in the early 2000s, Summerside is a newer Southeast Edmonton neighbourhood still undergoing development. As such, it is an ideal community for any buyer in search of a new construction home equipped with contemporary finishes and features.

Single-family properties are the predominant home style in the area. These include both convenient front-attached homes and laned homes boasting plenty of curb appeal. Detached homes in Summerside feature an average of four bedrooms and four bathrooms, with prices typically beginning in the late 300s. Lavish luxury properties can also be found throughout the area, many of which are situated along the shores of Lake Summerside.

Extremely family oriented, Summerside provides convenient access to several schools. In addition to both a public and Catholic K-9 school, the area sits within close proximity to several pre-schools, daycares and after-school care programs. Commuting From Southeast Edmonton

Extremely accessible, Summerside sits bounded by 91st to the west, Ellerslie Road to the north, 66th Street to the east and 25th Ave to the south. 91st Street is particularly convenient for residents wishing to access the south Anthony Henday. Nearby, Gateway Boulevard and Calgary Trail provide a streamlined commute to both downtown Edmonton and the Edmonton International Airport. Ellerslie Road also remains an important thoroughfare for Summerside residents as it features the many shops, services and restaurants for which Southeast Edmonton is known.

As Summerside and its surrounding neighbourhoods remain under development, so too do transit opportunities in the area. However, there are several bus stops located throughout the community. Transit accessibility to Summerside is also expected to improve upon the completion of the Valley LRT line, located in the nearby neighbourhood of Mill Woods.
