Did you know? As a nod to Edmonton’s ethnic diversity, all Northeast Edmonton Lake District communities take their names from lakes in different languages. “Schonsee” refers to the German words “schön” (beautiful) and “see” (lake).

Home Styles Suited to Every Lifestyle and Budget

Schonsee’s neighbourhood structure plan was approved as recently as 2002, making this new community the perfect place to find a contemporary home outfitted with the latest features and finishes.

Front-attached, single-family properties reign supreme in the area (accounting for roughly 65% of homes), offering new home buyers, on average, a minimum of three bedrooms and bathrooms and 2,000+ square feet of living space*. From new construction two-storey models to lakeside luxury properties (and everything in between), those searching for a detached home are sure to find what they’re looking for in Schonsee.

Roomy duplexes, executive townhomes and low-maintenance apartment-style condos account for all remaining real estate opportunities in the area – making the community attractive not just to families in search of an affordable home but for first-time buyers and downsizers alike.
